Just because you are from overseas shouldn’t affect whether or not you will be able to download the files. In fact, you should be having no troubles at all.

Where are you trying to download the files from? As a force of habit I tend to use the development servers as my update source. go into MeGUI’s settings and navigate to where the update server list is stored and try a different server.

When I about the “Video Profile” under the Encoder Config tab, if you want to use Xvid, all you need to do is choose your desired Xvid profile here, instead of an X264 preset like I use in the video.

Ah it seems it’s been too long since I ran the One Click GUI. You are correct, MeGUI does not currently support loading mkv files in the One Click Encoder. You can still do it the long way if you like (which isn’t THAT much more work). One thing that you can do is try filing a feature request on their Sourceforge page. I rarely deal with MKV files, so I had forgotten. A couple alternatives you can use are HDConvertToX, Staxrip, or Ripbot, if you want immediate support, atleast until MeGUI adds support.

But how, when I click on Tools > One Click Encode > then click on … next to Input File, in Files of Type, it says things like VOB or DGI or mpeg. I clicked on each of them, but it didn’t show any of the mkv files that I had in that folder.

So, how can I make it so that I can batch encode mkv files?

@Tosh, yes it will work with separate MKV files. You can load pretty much any into the One Click Encoder that you want. DVD, AVI, MP4, MKV, etc…

I find it quite ironic that your your doing this demonstrations with the same DVD I’ve been working with the past couple days.

That’s very useful in figuring out how to batch encode dvds, but what about separate mkv files. Is it possible to batch encode 12 mkv files (12 episodes of anime)?
