Well, this is the video companion to my original post here. I highly recommend that you watch the HD version in full screen if you can, as it’s way better than on the page, or watching the low-res version. If you have any questions, feel free to hit up the Doom9 thread or post in the comments on this page.
Note: Feel free to right click the video and change the stretching method if the video looks distorted to you.
Love your Tuts, youre a real asset to us all! Very helpful !
Why thank you! Glad to know that my work is appreciated!
Hey Adub, 4.1 (756)seems a little different now?
Really? I’ll take a look at it.
Seems just the same to me. What looks different to you?
Just a quick question I’ve went thru the settings abot 10x. Everything is set fine I have all codecs installed. But when I hit start it states all is good and there is 3 hours left. After the 3 hours I get no output file and if I read the log it states transcoding failed reinstall hali ffdshow and another I can’t remeber at the moment. What am I doing wrong. I should also note I’m doing bluray to DVD which I want to work in a standard DVD player. Please help me
Well, do you have Haali’s Media Splitter installed? If you do, which version?
Yes I have hali media splitter installed it is version 1.10.175.0. And thank you for the quick response
Johnei, have you taken a look at my guide concerning codec setup here?
If so, and it’s still not working, can you send me the full log with the error? You can email it to me if you like at adub(at)adubvideo.net.
I have not yet tried that guide I am doing so right now an then I will try again. If it does not work I will email you the log and again thanks for the quick response. One more note I’m on windows 7 and it’s an original bluray ripped with dvdfab
Good show! Remember, there’s even a Windows 7 specific guide, so be sure to look at that too.
Hey it still did not work. I emailed u the log let me know if you got it. Also I’ll note I’m on a 64bit operating system and the x264 box under settings where it says 64bit is unchecked……perhaps it should be checked???
Well, since you are going from a Blu-ray to a DVD, the X264 being used doesn’t matter, as you are not encoding with it. You are encoding with HCenc.
I responded to your email.
Hi, so the dvd was created and i burnt it, after about 15mins of playback it goes to a black screen, the audio still plays but the picture does not come back, any help would be greatly appreciated.
very nice
Just an update. It worked perfectly. The problem was with the codecs so I did a re format of my pc and started fresh. First try no problem thank you for this amazing program
Good to know Johnei.
Hi Adub, nice video tutorial! I think this program is what I have been seaching for. I shoot in 1080i and when I export from avid it gives me a .m2t file. This looks great when burned to blu-ray but clients still want DVD’s. So I transcoded the .m2t file to DVD-5 using multiAVCHD. Don’t worry the vid is only 1.5 minutes long. After the transcode my VIDEO_TS files are there and look good but the AUDIO_TS folder is empty. The audio is: und, MPEG 2ch delay:0ms (SD Audio) Any insite would be much appreciated. If you could send me the link to your tutorial on using IMGburn to author DVD’s that would be awesome too. Thanks!
Don’t worry about the AUDIO_TS folder being empty. It’s empty 99% of the time, even on commercial DVD’s. If you play the burned disk, it should have audio.
You can even test the new DVD before burning it by dragging and dropping the VIDEO_TS folder onto a media player like Media Player Classic Home Cinema or similar.
If you are still having problems after burning or playing the folder in MPCHC, then let me know.
Hey Adub thanks for the prompt reply. I tried dragging and dropping the VIDEO_TS folder into MPCHC and it plays beautifuly but still no audio. Should I just try and burn a copy with IMGburn?
Thanks!
I tried burning a single layer DVD and again it looks great but no audio. I have ffdshow v1.1.3326, Haali Media Splitter, AviSynth 2.5 intalled on my pc are these programs nessesary? Could they be causing my audio problem? Thanks for any imput you are a saviour!
Problem solved! I converted the .m2t to H264 mp4 and it pulled out the audio no problem. Thanks for the help! What a great program.
Ps. Do I need the above mentioned progams for the multiAVCHD to work?
Rchenko, yes you will need the above programs for multiAVCHD to work properly. They are very good programs and should provide no problems for your computer.
