However, for complete scripting advice, I suggest that you head over to the Doom9 forums for expert scripting advice. There are a couple of guru's on there that will be able to fix just about anything. I don't have the time unfortunately, but I'm sure that they will. As for your compression, I would highly suggest that you use the H.264 codec instead of Xvid, as it will produce a much higher quality video at the same file size. This will also help with the blocking in the background.
